Open Water Swim Clinics at Centennial – 2024
$20.00 – $45.00
Triathlon specific group swimming and instruction for all abilities!
Now in it’s 18th year, ET Open Water Swim Clinics at Centennial Beach is a weekly swimming program designed for triathletes. We’ll provide structured workout sets to build endurance and triathlon specific skill instruction such as open water sighting, wave starts, drafting, buoy turns, and bumping.
We’ll also have a coach in the water to help “new to the deep end” swimmers build confidence in open water swimming.
In addition to the program fee paid on this page, athletes will need to pay for their own entry fee into Centennial. Daily and season passes are available at the entrance. Information on entry fees to the beach can be found on the Centennial Beach website.
How do I know if ET Open Water Swim Clinics at Centennial Beach are cancelled?
If the beach is open, we swim. Yes, even in the rain!! We don’t get to pick our race day weather, right? Our program could be cancelled at the last minute due to weather. The Naperville Park District post real-time closing information on their site at http://www.napervilleparks.org/cancellations.
They even have a great phone app, RainOut with real-time weather related status. Please be checking the Park District site for last minute cancellations.

“I really want to give you guys a VERY LARGE THANK YOU for all the help that I received from you, especially on Monday nights, I tried 3 other tri’s before today, the swim’s were all the same; panic, frustration and hanging on to whatever I could. Fortunately, I was introduced to Experience Triathlon at the ET Batavia Tri and been swimming with you since and have learned more about tri swimming in 9 weeks then in the previous 10 years. Today’s swim at the ET Naperville Triathlon was great… no panic, no frustration, no hanging on, just swimming. Without your help, I would not have been there today. I’m already planning my next triathlon. THANK YOU AGAIN. Please pass this on to Coach Suzy, Coach Cathy, Coach Joe and Coach Jim.” – Gary H.
“The Open Water Swim sessions that you offer have been a critical part of my swim training this year and it’s why my swimming has improved so much! It’s an absolute perfect environment to absorb the conditions of a triathlon race and it’s been the catalyst to help me overcome my weaknesses and fears. I’m so much more confident in the open water now! Thanks to all your swimming coaching staff. They’re so knowledgeable and they make Monday nights a blast. I love all the services that ET provides and I appreciate all that you do to make us love the sport of triathlon so much more. Thanks!” – Cathy O.
