Fitness Training Tip – Short Workout Is Better Than No Workout
No time for a sweaty gym workout? Consider this tip if you find yourself time crunched!
At this hurried and hectic time of year, here are a few good reasons to sneak in a 20 minute workout rather than skipping it all together.
- You’ll be healthier and live longer. Even daily low-intensity exercise such as walking can be incredibly beneficial in your overall health, lowering your risk of diabetes, cancer, and other chronic diseases.
- You’ll boost your mood. Fitting in a short, easy workout will increase your endorphin levels so it will improve your mood, help relieve stress, and help keep you from feeling discouraged and beating yourself up for missing a workout.
- You’ll burn calories. 20 minutes of exercise burns the following calories: walking at 4 mph – 81, running at 5 mph – 144, biking at 15 mph – 180, swimming – 198.
Even though it might not feel like an amazing workout, you’re still doing your body good in a very short period of time.
