Get Faster on the Bike – An Advanced Cycling Clinic
Where do you find more speed on the bike? Having a magic answer would be priceless. If only it were as simple as a new wheelset or upgrading every component to carbon. If only we could magically morph into Chrissie or Lance or Crowie with the use of a stiffer, lighter bike frame.
But the reality is that improving our bikes can only take us so far. There are many important skills involved with finding speed on our bikes that we can develop within ourselves through proper coaching. In the big picture, fitness, form, and bike handling are just as important as having the best bike technology. Yet our full potential can be lost in translation if our bodies and muscles don’t truly connect with our bikes.
Getting right down to it, proper muscle usage equals proper form. Proper form equals maximized efficiency. And maximum efficiency is the most critical ingredient for maximum speed. Utilizing our muscles at the right time, in the right way, to make the most of our pedal stroke, is rarely discussed. Yet it is key to maximizing speed.
Led by Sarah Farsalas, USAC Level III Cycling Coach, this clinic will help athletes learn muscle mechanics, strength-training exercises, recovery stretches and on-the-bike performance delivery for the entire body, from head to toe.
Experience a whole new approach to getting faster on the bike in this advanced cycling clinic and unleash your full potential!
