ET Family Picnic – 2014

ET Family Picnic – 2014

A summer afternoon of food and fun with the ET family! – July 13

ET Picnic 2013 28

It’s not all about training and racing at Experience Triathlon. Come share an afternoon of food and fellowship. This event is not just for our coached athletes and ET Club members, but for all the friends of ET.

This year we’ve rented the North Shelter at Blackwell Forest Preserve in Warrenville.

There is no cost to attend this event. ET will provide all food and beverages.  We’ll also have our famous dessert table!

Please note that no alcohol will be served at the picnic and is not allowed with our shelter rental permit. Please do not bring or consume alcohol while attending our event.

ET Picnic 2013 44

Date: Sunday, July 13, 2014

Time: 1:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Location:  North Shelter.  Blackwell Forest Preserve

Click here to view a google map for navigation to the front entrance of Blackwell. Enter the Blackwell Forest Preserve from Butterfield road.  The entrance is just west of Winfield Rd or about 1.25 miles east of Highway 59.

Click here to view a map of Blackwell and the location of the North Shelter.  Once you enter Blackwell from Butterfield Rd, continue on the main forest perserve road for about 0.75 miles.  Proceed past the small parking lot on your right as you enter, as well as the next parking lot on your right that has the South Shelter sign.  Proceed past the Boat Launch sign, and you will see the lake on your right.  As you move around to the north side of the lake, look for the sign to the North Shelter.  The shelter is located on the hill that overlooks the lake.  If our shelter parking lot is full when you arrive, pull up to the shelter and let us know.  Someone will follow you back to the remote parking lot and shuttle you back to our event. 🙂

Click here if you’d like to go to the Blackwell Forest Preserve website to learn more about Blackwell.
