ET Small Group Workout Guidelines for Phase 4 COVID-19
We are re-starting small group ET workouts under the guidelines provided by the Restore Illinois phase 4 Outdoor Recreation and Team Sports industry segments and the IDPH Guidance for Swimming Facilities.
The guidelines include:
- If you are not feeling well or are experiencing any signs of COVID-19, please do not attend any ET workouts.
- Participants should wear face coverings over their nose and mouth when within 6-ft. of others.
- Maximum group size of 50 participants.
- No sharing of hydration, food or equipment.
- Frequent hand washing.
- Maximum 50% capacity in swim facilities.
Below are additional guidelines specific to ET group workouts:
- Maintain 6 ft distance from other athletes in the parking lots, pool decks, locker rooms, swim lanes or gathering spots before and after workouts. If closer than 6 ft, please wear a mask to protect your friends and their families.
- During workouts, maintain a minimum of 6 ft distance from other athletes. Be especially cautious at break points like gas stations, swim decks or during track recovery intervals. Spread out to be safe!
- Do not greet friends with handshakes, fist/elbow bumps or hugs. Air “high fives” and waves from 6 ft work great for greetings.
- Public bathrooms and porta toilets might be closed/locked before the workout. Plan ahead.
- Bring your mask on the group rides. You might need it when stopping at gas stations for hydration or bathrooms.
- Bring hand sanitizer or wipes so that you can use them after the workout. Bathrooms to wash hands might be locked.
- For our indoor CompuTrainer classes:
- Please wear your mask at all times when not riding. This include getting off the bike mid-ride for a bathroom break.
- Be prepared for a wellness and temperature check done by the coach as you enter the studio.
- For our Masters Swim Program:
- Please wear a mask into the Club and on to the pool deck. Same when you leave.
- Keep your mask with your pool items at the end of your lane. Put it back on before you get out of the pool.
- Lockers, showers and towels are available.
- If sharing a lane, please set up your hydration, swim items and do your start/stops at the opposite sides of the pool deck.
- Please social distance when needed on the pool deck, stairs, locker room and even pool lanes when standing.
- For our Strength Training Classes:
- Please wear a mask into the Club and down to the fitness floor.
- Keep your mask with you at all times.
- Mask are not required when working out with a specific piece of equipment.
- Mask should be put on when you move from one piece of equipment to another.
- Mask are required when you are within 6 feet of another athlete on the fitness floor.
- Use wipes and/or spray to clean equipment before and after each use.
