The committee is thorough and diligent about the race venues chosen to represent the race experience USAT seeks for our athletes. Many factors are assessed, including Race Director experience and reputation, course layout and safety, and past participant numbers.  USAT felt that ET Batavia and their race management team stood out from all other applicants.

“We are honored to host the Du Regional Championships at ET Batavia 2017.  Our volunteer captains and their teams do an amazing job producing the race.  The post-race surveys are filled with wonderful comments about the energy and passion of our race volunteers every year.  Thank you, USA Triathlon, for your trust and confidence”, said Joe LoPresto.

About ET Batavia Duathlon:

The ET Batavia Sprint Distance Duathlon, a USAT sanctioned event, marks its 14th running in 2017.   The event is produced by USAT Certified Race Director, Joe LoPresto, and ET Event Management Services.

The event starts with a 2.0 mile run on the Fox River Trail followed by a 14.7 mile bike course with slightly rolling terrain and scenic prairie views.  Racers finish the Du with a 4.1 mile run on a paved, flat, shaded, fast path along the Fox River Trial.  Many athletes feel it’s one of the best duathlon courses in the area!  First time multi-sport athletes will enjoy and benefit from the amazing support provided by our official coaching partner and title sponsor, Experience Triathlon.  We finish up our day with a fantastic post race party that includes free pizza, beer, music, a raffle and awards ceremony.
