Testimonials for Coach Sarah
I have been working with Coach Sarah for 3 months now, and in that time I have become a stronger, faster biker, a more proficient swimmer (although I still have work to do) and dare I say a runner…I am currently training for a 10k and I never thought I would be able to run a mile, let alone 6. She is so encouraging, wise, accomplished, and I have learned so much from her. Coach Sarah, thank you for working with me and I can’t wait to see what the next year brings. You’re the best!!! – Sharon K.
This last session was my first experience with computraining. Coach Sarah was so welcoming and nonjudgmental. She showed me how to set up my bike and what to expect. She also told us each session what our goals were and what to concentrate on to get the most benefit from the ride. Coach Sarah gave us a great workout with a warm smile and a great attitude! – Sue N.
“Thank you Coach Sarah!! Thank you for your incredibly positive attitude, your warm smile and your passion for biking. I love my Wednesday night bike ride on the CompuTrainer. You ALWAYS make it fun…especially with your awesome music!! You’re a great coach and I can’t wait to ride with you in the spring.” – Cathy O.
I met Sarah at Starbucks. She saw I was wearing bike cloths and talked to me about my love of cycling. I’m 53 years old and about 10 years ago I started riding. It really became something I wanted to be part of my life and I had no idea how to train or accomplish my goals. Well I’m excited every day now that I have the sweetest lady guiding me to be the best I can be and not Judging me ,but encouraging me with a work out plan that is working for me. I believe people come into your life for a reason and that would be meeting Sarah. I also have so many new friends that love the same thing I do!! Thank you Coach Sarah – Joni T.
Coach Sarah is an amazing person and coach!! Her energy and positive attitude along with her drive are infectious and keep me going. She’s is a great addition to an already great team. – Adrienne S.
It’s not often that you find someone who can enthusiastically get you to work hard, get better at something and have fun at the same time, but that is what Coach Sarah does at each session of CompuTrainer. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I began CompuTrainer, but Coach Sarah has shown me that cycling is more than just the middle part of a triathlon, it can be FUN! Sarah always shows us her love for cycling and empathizes with us as we sometimes struggle through the intervals. Thank you Coach Sarah! I’m looking forward to Wednesday’s workout! – Bob H.
Sarah, Thanks for recognizing that our last session on Wednesday night was an extremely tough one for me. You’re not only an outstanding bike coach but you care deeply about the athletes you coach and that came through in our discussion. I know my strength level on the bike has improved immensely due to your guidance, encouragement, and coaching during every CT class and the Advanced Cycling Clinic you coached a few weeks ago. I enjoy our friendship both at the personal level as well as the coach/athlete level and know that I’m a better athlete because of you. Thank You for making biking fun. – Jim R.
This is my first year participating in the computrainer classes and I can see every week my increase in power and endurance. The most important aspect of the class is our outstanding coaches, especially Coach Sarah. Her enthusiasm and support gets our group through some of the most difficult and challenging workouts! Thank you Coach Sarah! – Lynn B.
I decided to try Computrainer this season for the first time because I really needed help with biking. I actually need help with everything but thought I would start with biking. I saw that there was a Friday night class which would be perfect for my crazy schedule as a nurse who works 7p-7a. It also helped that I knew Coach Sarah personally and was looking forward to seeing her again. I don’t know what I would do without Coach Sarah, from helping me place my bike into the trainer to her enthusiasm and words of support while riding, like “keep going Flecky” and “you’ve got this Flecky”. I have seen an improvement in my biking just with Computrainer and I am looking forward to actually getting out and riding at Fermilab. Thanks to Coach Sarah for all the words of encouragement! I would be lost without her! – Kathy F.
Coach Sarah, I can’t thank you enough for all of the time and energy that you bring to ET as a cycling coach! For me, biking is the most foreign, and sometimes most intimidating, part of triathlon. But thanks to your insight at CT and your Advanced Cycling Clinic, this year I feel so much more comfortable and stronger on the bike. I really appreciate your help with such little things as setting up my bike at CT, turning on fans for us, and giving encouragement/advice during the rides; you are so approachable and knowledgeable! Thanks also for your Advanced Cycling Clinic. I learned so much about how to correctly use my muscles during different parts of the pedal stroke, as well as how to keep these muscles strong and stretched off the bike. I was able to use your information the very next day at CT, and now every time I ride I think about your advice on maintaining form on the bike. Your background in massage therapy and knowledge of muscle actions and biomechanics as they relate to cycling are so valuable and I am grateful for the times you’ve tried to problem-solve my stubborn aches and pains. Most of all, it’s obvious that you love cycling, and your passion for it is contagious! We’re so lucky to have all of your skills and knowledge as a cycling coach for ET–thanks again!! – Laura C.
Coach Sarah has been a tremendous help to me as I have sought to improve my cycling fitness and ability over the long off-season! Her expertise and great attitude make it a true pleasure to ride in her computrainer sessions. And her incredible strength as a rider always motivates me to push myself just that much harder! Thank you Sarah for all that you do!
– Drew R.
As my bile mileage has been increasing with more challenging triathlons, Coach Sarah has been incredibly helpful to help make these distances seem less daunting. She is a very good coach and is a true competitor herself who understands the demands of cycling events that triathletes and bike racers face. I’ve also done many of her Computrainer sessions which are quite excellent. Sarah’s enthusiasm and obvious skills with cycling are infectious, it’s always a pleasure and beneficial to work with her. – Tom S.
Sarah is one of those rare coaches who can relate to you as a friend, help you out through any difficulties, while motivating you to perform at your best. And, she has a glowing warmth that can lift you through the toughest workouts – even at 7:30 on Sunday morning! For me, the results of being in her CompuTrainer cycling class speak for themselves – in just 2 months with her, I was able to shave 8 minutes off a 20K time trial. – Ravi N.
